I ended up painting new leaves for these "Yuccas" in Photoshop.
I know the bark isn't accurate but with the restrictions of Vue I tried to create a believable and useful plant.

I had a feeling these looked better than the default ones. And you can't see the "join lines" where the branches meet up with the trunk like you often can on the default trees as well (something I always end up having to Photoshop out when trees are close to the camera 
)
